WATER PUMP GEAR LASH

This water pump assembly is furnished with the cover off to

Replacing the Water Pump

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHECKING WATER PUMP GEAR LASH This water pump assembly is furnished with the cover off to facilitate checking the gear lash between the water pump gear and camshaft gear after the pump is installed on the engine. Check the gear lash by installing bolts, or equivalent, in the impeller puller holes. Measure the backlash with an indicator at that point.
